PART XIII
I am very grateful for the completion of the production of THE SCARAPIST, which is nothing short of a miracle. To reach these heights, I fell to the depths of pain. I am still recovering from the assault and betrayal that prompted it. Through the Good Spirit, beauty can come from such horrors. We can enter into a deeper communion. I am in awe.
This Fall/Winter edition of the museletter, and my corresponding journal, come late. We at seasons & a muse were away on location. Sadly, my father, Robert, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, passed away on November 2. Before he passed away, we shared a moving conversation:
JEANNE
Dad, I'll be an overnight sensation, and it will have only taken fifteen years.
DAD
It was hard for me, too.
I was able to tell him that we had wrapped production within a week of his passing. By then he was unable to speak, but he smiled. Pace, papa. I'm glad you're with Mom now. I hope you will both be proud.
